My local living room hangout spot. If you're the kind of person who would be proud to chant "Žižkov! Božkov!" or if you even know what Božkov is, this is probably the place for you. Full of local punks, drunks and lushes alike, Americanos, expats, and Czechs that like foreigners, Winos, indie rockers, riot grrrls, hipsters, freaks, geeks and the likes. If yer cool and not a drunk asshole, come to the blind eye. I like it on Mondays and Fridays. Noah, the owner, DJs on Fridays and he plays to please the crowd. Anything from Michael Jackson to Depeche Mode to Ladytron. Mondays is karaoke with Alicia as resident KJ, and it's definitely fun to grab a friend or four and get some drinks in you to prepare for some embarrassingly classic moments. In the late Spring and Summer there can be waaay too many tourists, but if you stick around late enough, you will see that this dark cave can be a magical place to spend with old and new friends under the disco ball dancing or taking shots at the bar. Either way, don't forget your camera because you're gonna wanna remember what happened after drinking the three Žižkov Liberators and five pints of Budvar. Here's the sched: Monday - Karaoke w/Alicia and Noah Tuesday - Obscurely awesome 80s new romantics and synthpop with Vladimir DJing Wednesday - ??? Thursday - RAPTURE indie night (http://www.myspace.com/rapturepraha) Friday - Dance Party w/Noah DJing Saturday - Dance Party with rotating themes and DJs Sunday - I think cheap drink deals. Used to be movie night and then it was ipod night and now i dunno. |

this probably is my most favorite bar in Prague.Run by expats its small, dark, and a tad bit dirty. my favorite night at this place is Thursday for "Rapture" where you can dance all night long to indie/electro/pop spanning from the days of Joy Division to MGMT. The crowd is hip and chill. The drinks are cheap. The party is fun. GO! |
